As robbing the Penguin Cafe didn't give me much financial success, I started the Bar on July 17, 2000. The bar is for relaxation and fun. Anyone may join in and have a drink, even milk. 
The first drink ever ordered was a Strawberry Daiquiri by ettore. In the beginning Daiquiris in general were quite popular. Back then there were 'Today's special drinks', an idea which didn't last too long as nobody seemed to be interested. At least two Espresso machines have existed during the history of the bar, one of which somehow disappeared. How and when is a mystery. 
Crose was the first to order food -- the turducken that knocked him unconscious. Since that stuff like 'Instant Roast Beef Makers' have been brought in. The most recent addition is a pizza oven, and once there was a grill party with open fire. Food fights were commonly seen in the beginning, everyone splattering each other with lemon meringue pies. The most popular ammunition is however chocolate. Chocolate has been used in bazookas, self-exploding pies, and even drinks like Chocolate Monkey. A bar slang has also been developed. "Great" no longer is a correct word to be used in the bar. It has instead been grat ever since ffabris introduced it. FnV, crose's regular, stands for Fresca and Vanilla. The bar is known for its numerous plaques and signs. The first big one was nailed up by hotpink and reads "Rob O'Zilla drank here". Rob O'Zilla's visited the bar in probably the most memorable bar thread so far, The Bar: Have another one, it's on the house. The main happening was susanna's and ettore's date which started after ettore asked if anyone wanted to the share the drink Phone Sex with him. Susanna agreed and they began probably the most link frequent discuss...umm...date in ODP history. Definitely a thread worth reading.
The bar is now in its 12th thread and has gotten over 1100 post so far, which is slightly more than 11% of all post in the Penguin Cafe. The Bar might also hold a ODP record as the "fastest continuation of a thread" when ...Forum35/HTML/000182.html moved to ...Forum35/HTML/000184.html in less than 26 hours. The thread (or actually I) has been nominated "the most prolonged and pointless thread" by Dfy. Sadly this nomination wasn't included in the 2000 Mozzies.
